University of Alberta Aerial Robotics Group (UAARG)
About
For nearly two decades, UAARG, a dynamic engineering student team, has devoted its expertise to the design, construction, and competition of autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) on the Canadian and International stages. Our core philosophy revolves around the transference of theoretical understanding into tangible experiences through practical, real-world problem-solving.
UAARG is a mosaic of specialized teams, each one offering an opportunity to dive deep into your interest areas and strengths. From Airframe to Imaging, Piloting, Autopilot, Electrical, Operations, and Outreach - every cog in the UAARG wheel plays a decisive role in our pioneering UAV projects.
In the heartbeat of our operation lies the spirit of teamwork. UAARG is more than a group; it's a communal brain trust where you can find your tribe of innovators. Our ethos of collaboration stimulates innovation and creativity, propelling members to make significant strides in UAV technology.
Our participation in high-profile competitions provides a thrilling platform to pit our skills against the best teams in the business. This spirited rivalry infuses our journey with adrenaline, adding an exciting dimension to the UAARG experience.
With UAARG, learning leaps out of the books and takes flight! We are committed to ensuring our members immerse themselves in invaluable hands-on experiences in UAV design and operations. Our complex projects equip them with a profound understanding of the industry and the readiness to conquer its challenges.
