University of Alberta Student Chapter of ISA Edmonton Section

About

The University of Alberta Student Chapter of the International Society of Automation (ISA) Edmonton Section is dedicated to fostering a dynamic community for students passionate about automation, control systems, and emerging technologies. As part of ISA, the leading professional society for automation, our chapter connects students with the knowledge, standards, and professional network that drive the advancement of careers in the automation industry.

ISA is committed to creating a better world through automation by developing widely used global standards, certifying professionals, and providing top-tier education and training. Through our student chapter, we bring these resources directly to the University of Alberta, offering technical talks, professional development workshops, networking events, and industry visits, that bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, and enhance career growth.

Our mission is to foster the understanding and application of automation technologies, support professional growth, and inspire the next generation of industry leaders. We are grounded in ISA’s core values of excellence, integrity, diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and professionalism. We strive to create an inclusive environment where diverse ideas are welcomed, and every member is empowered to pursue their interests and career goals.

By uniting students with a shared enthusiasm for automation, we aim to contribute to ISA’s global vision of creating a better world through automation, while equipping our members with the skills and connections needed to thrive in this dynamic field.
