Faith Chieme

Vice-President Communications Candidate

What previous experience do you have in a communication role, and/or why do you think you are well equipped to take on this role?

I've ran many social media pages in highschool for different clubs/teams from academic to just-for-fun which I feel allows me to understand how to make appropriate posts for each event.

How would you maximize your outreach to have a good turnout at your events, and how do you think you can best get students excited to attend FYEC events?

The biggest lesson I've learned from my previous experience is the importance of repetition. For many people one or two posts way before the date of an event isn't enough for them to remember or be informed so they end up missing something they otherwise would've attended just as the event ends up passing by quietly. As such as VP of Communications I'll make sure to constantly be communicating so it gets cemented into people's brains.
