GEER WEEK Coordinator
The GEER Week Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of GEER Week with organizing the annual GEER Week. Events throughout the week include Are You Smarter Than a First Year, Canstruction, Battle of the Bands, Toboggan Races, Beer Brewing and more. They also work closely with other GEER Week Coordinators from each discipline.
Social Events Coordinator
The Social Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Social Events with organizing annual events hosted by the Engineering Students’ Society (ESS), such as the Engineering Carnival, Glow Party, and Engineering Ball.
Philanthropy Coordinator
The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Philanthropy with organizing annual charity events hosted by the Engineering Students’ Society (ESS), such as the Engineering Headshave. They will also work closely with other divisions in the Student Life portfolio to assist with the organization of events, such as the Blood Drive and Food Drive during GEER Week and the Engg Carnival.
Sporting Events Coordinator
The Sporting Events Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Sporting Events to plan the Annual Ski trip and coordinate/plan ESS intramural games.
Director of GEER WEEK
The Director of GEER Week is responsible for planning and overseeing all GEER Week events; this includes Battle of the Bands, Scavenger Hunt, Spelling Bee, Canstruction, etc. They attend all events held during GEER Week and ensure that the events run smoothly. They work closely with the GEER Week Coordinators of all the discipline clubs. As the Director of GEER Week you will act as the head adjudicator for GEER Week, Manage the GEER Week Division, and provide regular updates to the VP Social.
Director of Social Events
The Director of Social Events is responsible for managing the Division of Social Events and overseeing a team of Social Events Coordinators. As the Director of Social Events you are responsible for assisting coordinators in planning, marketing and running ESS Events, ensure event planning runs smoothly, and provide regular updates to the VP Social.
Direction of Sporting Events
The Director of Sporting Events is responsible for managing the Division of Sporting Events and oversees a team of Sporting Events Coordinators. As the Director of Sporting Events you will assist in planning the Annual Ski Trip, coordinate ESS Intramural teams, work with VP Social to complete pre-event risk assessments and provide regular updates to the VP Social.
