Academics and Services Portfolio
The VP Academics and Services runs all services the ESS provides to the engineering student body. Additionally, the VP Academics and Services coordinate the academic advocacy activities of the ESS. Academics Coordinator
The Academics Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Academics to advocate and to organize academic support services for the Engineering undergraduate student body. The academic support services include weekly Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS), the Textbook Exchange program, as well as the Mentorship and Study Buddy program. Tasks include collecting information regarding students’ concerns and problems with academics, organizing training sessions for PASS tutors, organizing the Mentorship and Study Buddy program meetings and organizing data.
Health and Wellness Coordinator
The Mental Wellness Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Health and Wellness with organizing monthly health and wellness events and wellness weeks.
Professional Development Coordinator
The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Professional Development to host speakers and workshops for the undergraduate engineering students. The Professional Development division collaborates with the Engineering Employment Centre (EEC) for the workshops and organize monthly talks for the students.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Coordinator
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation division focuses on bringing resources to students with entrepreneurial ideas and fostering the growth of these ideas by making necessary resources available from faculty and external stakeholders. The director will lead this portfolio and organize events and collaboration with external stakeholders to bring essential resources related to entrepreneurship.
Director of Academics
The Director of Academics is responsible for managing the Division of Academics and oversees a team of Academic Coordinators. As a Director of Academics you are responsible for managing the Academics Division, ensuring all events and initiatives stay on schedule and providing updates to the VP Academics and Services.
Director of Health & Wellness
The Director of Health & Wellness is responsible for managing the Division of Health and Wellness and oversees a team of Health & Wellness Coordinators. As a Director of Health and Wellness you are responsible for creating and running relaxation events, collaborating with existing campus mental health services, managing the Health and Wellness Division and providing updates to the VP Academics and Services.
Director of Professional Development
The Director of Professional Development is responsible for managing the Division of Professional Development and oversees a team of Professional Development Coordinator. As a Director of Professional Development you are responsible for managing the Professional Development Division, ensuring event planning meets deadlines and providing updates to the VP Academics and Services.
Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation division focuses on bringing resources to students with entrepreneurial ideas and fostering the growth of these ideas by making necessary resources available from faculty and external stakeholders.
